Step 8 - Consider Composting
What's the answer?..... Composting. Yard waste like leaves, grass trimmings and shrubbery trimmings can be composted into natural soil additives for lawns, gardens or flower beds. Compost improves soil texture, increases the soil's ability to hold moisture and air, suppresses weed growth and decreases erosion. Your school can make a compost pile from the leaves and grass clipping created by maintenance of the school grounds.
