Wiederkehr Wine Cellars

Discover the Swiss winemaking heritage of Wiederkehr Wine Cellars, the oldest winery in mid-America, since 1880. Vineyards are designed in the Swiss alpine style overlooking the Arkansas River Valley atop St. Mary’s Mountain. We will have lunch in The Weinkeller Restaurant; the original hand dug wine cellar, which serves Swiss and other European specialties. In the afternoon we will visit one of the newest vineyards in this region, Chateau Aux Arc, which opened in 2001. Chateau Aux Arc is the world’s largest planter of cynthiana grapes, the largest US chardonnay vineyard outside California, and the largest zinfandel planter in Arkansas.
